Bet Shemesh Baseball would not be where it is today without Jordy Alter. Jordy had the vision and foresight to build a baseball league for our city. With only one driving force - the kids! Jordy is also presently the President of the IAB.
ARON SAFFER
Head Umpire & Assistant Director
Dr. Aron Saffer is head umpire for Bet Shemesh baseball. He is also the assistant director. Dr. Saffer also has only one driving force and that is to let the kids play and enjoy their time on the field.
ELI RUTENBERG
CEO of Bet Shemesh Baseball
Eli Rutenberg grew up a "tom boy" her desire to play baseball started as a little girl. She did not stop at any stage and played for her synagogue in her teen years. Upon making aliyah to Bet Shemesh she immediately tried to get involve with baseball. She coached for the Bet Shemesh Juveniles for two years, and went on to becoming the Regional Director for Bet Shemesh.
ABOUT US
Since 1994 Bet Shemesh Baseball has been an active city for the Israel Association of Baseball. The majority of the players are made up of new citizens that immigrated from America & Canada. Their desire to return to the field and feel as if they are in those countries provides a comfort and a feeling of familiarity for them. We are proud to provide this unique experience for them in Israel. Their ages range from 8 all the way until 17. Bet Shemesh baseball thrives because of these citizens.
